Legal & General Group Plc is a financial services provider best known for its life insurance services and was one of the pioneers behind low-cost index tracker funds.

The company operates out of three primary divisions:

  • Legal & General Retirement Institutional is a global pension risk transfer provider.
  • Legal & General Capital is the investment arm of the business that invests in a wide range of financial securities surrounding real estate, renewable energy, and SME financing solutions.
  • Legal & General Investment Management is one of the largest asset management firms in Europe and caters towards both retail and institutional investors.

The group also provides additional consumer-facing life insurance solutions, and retail retirement instruments such as annuities, drawdown products, and lifetime mortgage loans.
